Grayling’ is a historic 38ft huon pine yacht build in 1922. She was built in Hobart, Tasmania and is similar in design to the A class. It is well known in southern Tasmania and has competed in many races in the Hobart, the Channel and Huon areas over the years.
The hull has been recently stripped back to timber and repainted and is in very good condition.
She has a 20 hp Buhk engine and a good set of sails. Layout inside: she has one quarter-berth on the left, a double berth up forward and bench seats either side of a folding table that can both be used as berths as well.
There is a galley which contains a small gas stove, sink, and built-in ice box.
It has a chemical toilet in its own little compartment.
It has a tall wooden mast that was re-varnished fairly recently, and varnished decks as well.
